HOME LESS FEEDING 2015

JUAA Partners with the VICC and U.C.O. (Urban Community Outreach) Drop-In-Center, a community center for the homeless and those in need in downtown Long Beach.

At the Center we plan to feed 450-500 guests. Everyone pitches in and helps where they can. We shop, cook, clean and most importantly socialize with our guests. The Drop-In-Center is a community center and they try to embody that sense of community.

Computer Lab – At the center a sixteen workstation computer lab and an instructor are available to help those in need search for jobs and affordable apartments on the internet. The instructor will assist and our volunteers may help our guests with learning new computer skills in order to broaden their job opportunities.
